Traveling Time

This is the time of the year when many people travel for business and/or for pleasure. To meet up with family and friends is at all times an enjoyment. At times it might be a bit stressful due to various reasons. Rest assured, that with our magazine at hand you will find guidance for any visitor to discover exciting places without being accompanied by a local person.

To our regular readers I would like to point out some new pages with useful information apart from our normal updates we always provide. On page 9 - 10 we have gathered some essential information for visitors coming to Taipei and Taiwan and on page 15 - 16 we have a listing of the more interesting museums in Taipei.

For you to plan your leisure time well, we have the entertainment section page 29 - 34 covering both November and December 2010.

Of course we mustn't forget the Taipei International Flora Exposition taking place November 6 - April 25, 2011.

If you are here for a short period of time and are heading back home, for sure you would like to bring back some gifts. Stroll around the city and, especially during evening hours, the night markets will bring endless suggestions of gifts to bring home. At Taiwan Handicraft Promotion Center, you will find everything possible under one roof.

HSBC is one of the most international banks in Taiwan. With 37 branches all over the island you are likely to be close to an international bank with all their expertise.

Taiwan this Month helps you find the latest activities around the island, useful information and MRT maps for Taipei and Kaohsiung. The monthly free, bilingual magazine has a trilingual web page: www.taiwanthismonth.com

Wishing you all a good time in Taiwan,
