Taipei

Taipei is now preparing itself for the "Taipei International Flora Exposition" from November 2010 - April 2011. Many beauty treatments are being given to the city's parks, along roads, overpasses etc. The mass-rapid-transit system (MRT) is also in for improvement with more safety sliding doors being installed at some of the stations. During peak hours, the MRT is the fastest way to get around even though taxis are easy, accessible, safe and cheap. The Taipei Main Station is the hub for all trains, including the high-speed rail, which speeds its way to Kaohsiung in the south in just 90 minutes. Direct flights between Taipei Songshan Airport and Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport began in June and are expected to draw many commuters looking to shorten their traveling time. City Hall Bus Station which opened in July, connects the Xinyi district with a walkway allowing quick and easy access by MRT ...

2010 Taipei Biennial

As one of the most important international art exhibitions in Taiwan, the Taipei Biennial has been the leading platform of contemporary art since 1998. This year, as the seventh exhibition TB10 will attempt to revise the current cultural production, especially the event itself. Through the reexamination of the political elements in art, the definition of modern art development and Biennial effect will be reviewed. Still Summer in Taipei

You are even allowed to bring your bicycle on MRT which makes it easy to have a nice outing.
