Mongolian Buddhist Image and Sculpture Art Exhibition

How well we truly know our Mongolian artisans and craftsmen, whose rare and remarkable style of artwork represents them beyond the time and places. The names of Marzan Sharav, B. Gavaa, A. Sengetsokhio, S. Choimbol and N. Chultem are the ones to first seamlessly flow into to our minds.

On the other hand, we seem also to be delighted to gaze and admire at the beautifully designed jewelry of women and handsome made ornaments of men, but we even do not dare to contemplate regarding who exactly and what kind of artisan is really behind all of these excellently crafted artworks.

Thus, exactly these 'nameless' artisans silently toil and simply exist behind the nationally famous local craftwork designs such as Dariganga, Dalaichoinkhor, Batnorov, and being humbly encouraged and highly rewarded by one Mongol proverb that 'a man of art-craft is the one who has the mindset of god'.

Out of these endless strings of Mongol artisans, most certainly O. Erdenechuluun is one of key representatives. He is the craftsman par excellence among the peers.
