The School of Choice for 1,100 International Students

With four sections (German, British, French, and High School) and 1,100 international students from over 60 countries, Taipei European School (TES) is dedicated to offering the highest standard of educational excellence for children from expatriate families living in Taiwan.

TES is a vibrant and dynamic school that has grown from humble beginnings in 1990 to become the leading international school in Taipei. Through the unique collaboration and integration of German, British and French sections, TES offers the choice of three European curricula for students from the ages of 3 to 14 years and then a High School programme for 14 to 18 year olds.

Since the development of the High School Section and introduction of the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, a graduating cohort of students gain places at many of the top universities around the world, principally in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, Australia and Taiwan.

TES is proud to have designed a model for curriculum integration in subjects such as music, sports and languages where the students of the different sections work together in the same classes depending on their capability. TES firmly believes that its students develop admirable qualities of cultural understanding, compassion, empathy and tolerance through their daily life at school which is focused on its mission of "promoting European culture and values within the context of Taiwanese society."

As the first and truly integrated European school outside Europe, TES has become a model of integration of European education frequently admired by visitors from all over the globe.

TES operates on two separate sites. The Swire European Primary Campus is located at Wen Lin Road, in Shihlin, accommodating the younger students, and the Swire European Secondary Campus one is located in Yang Ming Shan, catering for students from the ages of 11 to18 years.
