Hualien Distillery

The Hualien Distillery is situated in Hualien, one of the last pure unspoilt areas in Taiwan which has escaped modern industrial pollution and embraces the beauty of the eastern mountains and oceans, the "Ilha Formosa", setting the scene for the distillery to draw natural clean water to make perfect drinks that preserve the true essence and purity of nature.

The distillery was built during Japanese occupation and is now more than just a manufacturing base. With its unique liqueur tradition, Hualien Distillery boasts historical and cultural assets, which can leverage Hualien's people and scenery in its potential to become a tourism hotspot. The distillery is attracting ever more tourists by marketing homemade products, disseminating knowledge and cultivating the local drinking culture, providing leisure and promoting tourism. The distillery's inner store is adorned with exhibits designed in aboriginal style with collections of liqueur-making utensils and a cornucopia of souvenirs characteristic of the local cultures. Visitors can enjoy delicious food and taste a variety of drinks with special palate and fresh finish. One-time shopping convenience and educational recreation has earned the Hualien Distillery the reputation of a must-visit for tourists in Hualien.
