Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung is the second largest city in Taiwan, situated in the south, with a population of 1,5 million people. The city has a first class harbor that can accommodate vessels up to 100,000 tons.

Love River, is the spine of the city with its beautiful river banks and parks. Along the river are many cafés and restaurants.

Sightseeing boats, "Love Boat" runs daily between 4 pm. and 11 pm., near Jhongjheng Bridge on Jhongjheng 5th Rd on both sides.

Kaoshiung Museum of History was built in 1938 and served as the police station during the Japanese occupation time. The building emphasizes on the Japanese Shintoism with the roof built in so called "imperial crown style". Later it was used as the City Hall.

The largest wholesale market in Kaoshuing is Sanfonszon Street located in Jianguo 3rd Road, an old shopping area and the largest wholesale market.
