Holiday Season in Taiwan

Taiwan is now showing it's self from the most beautiful part. Spring is here with warm breezes, pleasant mornings and evenings with temperatures that makes it pleasant for outdoor life. Nature once again wakes up to make us aware of the pleasant smell of flowers, herbs and fresh air for us to enjoy!

Apart from some useful information and facts we would like to introduce to you some "pearls" on the island. The month of April has a very interesting tradition in the Chinese culture, the Tomb Sweeping. It's touching to see how families are worshipping their ancestors at the same time as they all have a nice time together.

Another belief in the Chinese society, according to Ms. Amy C. Liu, is to consult your fortuneteller. This can be done in many different ways but is definitely part of the people here in Taiwan.

Now is the right time for outdoor lunches and dinners. We have a few outdoor restaurants mentioned in the Taipei area along with recommendations by Mr. Brian Asmus. Talking about food, Taiwan must have the best fruits in the world and Mr. Allen Hsu is writing about one of them, Jujube, which might not be familiar to all of us.

Taiwan This Month is bilingual and a free of charge magazine. It's our goal to make it user friendly both size wise and with a layout that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. You can pick it up at major and 5 star hotels, all our advertisers, Embassies and representatives' offices as well as China Airlines lounges outside Taiwan and at some bigger travel agents in USA and Australia.
